Entry requirements for students from The Philippines

International Foundation Year

Students holding the High School Diploma with an average of 80% will typically be considered for entrance to the International Foundation year.

IELTS 5.5 with a minimum of 5.5 in all components is also required. 


Students will need to complete a recognised International Foundation Year for entrance onto Bachelor degree programmes. 

Bachelor degrees from non-prestigious universities with a minimum score of 70% can be considered for entrance onto the second year of a Bachelor degree programme

Bachelor degrees in a professional or paramedical subject with a minimum score of 70% can be considered for entrance onto the final year of a Bachelor programme.


Requirements will vary dependant on recognition of Institution and scoring system used and applications will be considered on a case by case basis.

Typically holders of bachelor or master’s degrees from the following institutions would be considered for entry to postgraduate programmes:

Asian Institute of Management

Ateneo de Manila University

De La Salle University

University of Santo Tomas

University of the Philippines

English Language Requirements

English language requirements vary by course and department but the standard University requirement is 6.0 with 5.5 in every component in IELTS or the same scores in the University’s own entry test, the Wolverhampton English Proficiency Examination (WEPE).

Some courses may require a higher level of English language proficiency than the University standard requirements.  For details of each programme’s English language requirement please see the individual course pages.
