Bostin' Tea Party Virtual Café

Come along to a bostin’ tea party in a virtual café on Thursday 19 November 2020 from 6.30 pm to 8.30 pm and share your favourite Black Country words and phrases, especially those related to food.

Listen to some Black Country poetry from Dr R.M Francis, Lecturer in Creative and Professional Writing at the University of Wolverhampton and share thoughts and memories about the distinctive Black Country dialect.

Before the event, attendees will be provided with a resource pack to get them thinking, along with some Black Country recipes so they can make their own ‘fittle’ (food) before the event, and show it off online during the event.

Put the kettle on! It’ll be smashing – or bostin’!

This event is part of the 2020 Being Human Festival and is for anyone who likes language and food.
