New fines for littering

In a new effort to tackle rubbish in Wolverhampton, the City of Wolverhampton Council is is imposing new fines on people that leave cigarette butts, gum, and other items of litter on the floor.

Offenders can be expected to pay £75, however if the fine isn't paid the case could end up in Court and with a succesful conviction entailing a fine of up to £2,500.
