New Zine Collection - Library

We are excited to introduce a new Zine Collection in Harrison Library.

Zines are easy-to-make informal publications which can be used to share artwork, stories, ideas and much more. The initial collection showcases over 100 zines across a variety of topics, printing styles and formats to provide leisure reading for library users but also cultivate an awareness of how different zines can be created and distributed.

Owing to their ephemeral nature, our zines are a reference only collection to be used within the library, the zine room however has comfy seating for anyone to relax and read our zines. We also have several books on making zines, zine culture, zine archives etc which can borrowed from the library as normal.

We hope access to the collection will demonstrate the possibilities of zines and encourage zine-making as a mode of self-expression. We aim to grow this collection over time and so would welcome any staff or students who produce their own zines to donate a copy to be added to the library’s collection. We’re also open to donations from outside the University.

For full details about the collection check out our zines webpage.
