As a vibrant and diverse institution, we are committed to celebrating the voices that shape our community and inspire future generations. Between 18 July to 17 August, the University is proud to celebrate South Asian Heritage Month, recognising the rich cultural contributions and diverse histories of South Asian communities.

South Asian Heritage Month 2025 Theme: Roots to Routes

From Roots to Routes celebrates the vibrant journeys of South Asian communities, honouring where we come from and how far we’ve travelled. It’s a tribute to the deep cultural roots that ground us, and the diverse routes we’ve taken across generations, continents, and identities. Through stories, food, music, and memories, we explore how heritage shapes who we are today. This month is an invitation to reconnect, reflect, and rejoice in the richness of South Asian traditions, while embracing the evolving paths that continue to inspire and unite us all.
