Update to Academic Regulations

All returning students are reminded that they are required to abide by the University’s Academic Regulations.  From September 2017 onwards the University is introducing a new '50 day engagement requirement'.  New Regulation 3.3.9 states:

If an enrolled student does not engage with their course of study within the first 50 days of the start date of the course, the Dean of Faculty will recommend to the Academic Registrar that the student is discontinued and their registration terminated.  The Faculty must provide evidence that there have been repeated and reasonable attempts to contact the student and establish their engagement with the course.

This is to mitigate the risk of any fraudulent student loans claims, and is not an issue that will be of any concern to any genuine student who is in attendance at the University and have started on their learning and teaching with us.  If you have any queries on this, please email Dr Chris Twine, Academic Registrar, at Chris.Twine@wlv.ac.uk

The full set of Academic Regulations are online via the Policies and Regulations webpages: https://www.wlv.ac.uk/about-us/governance/legal-information/policies-and-regulations/academic-regulations/
