Help SHAPE the plant based menu offered by the university - we need your views!

Help the University to reach our sustainability goals and increase the plant based food options offered through our catering outlets. 

A group of students from the School of Social, Historical and Political Studies are participating in a sustainability programme called SHAPE. Through this project, the students aim to encourage the university to adopt a more plant based approach to its catering services. The project is run in collaboration with the British Academy and Students Organising for Sustainability (SOS) and the students are working closely with the University's catering team and Sustainability lead to implement sustainable change. 

Plant based diets go beyond individual dietary choices; it embodies a commitment to environmental stewardship and animal welfare. By embracing plant based meal plans, universities contribute to a global movement towards a more sustainable and compassionate world. Reducing carbon footprint and fostering a sense of responsibility in individuals are integral to this transformative journey.
