Graduation Ceremonies 2026

January 2026 Ceremonies

Our next ceremonies will take place from Tuesday 27th to Saturday 31st January 2026 for:

  • Students who have their awards conferred up to and including 3rd December 2025, and

  • Students who missed the summer ceremonies but have already had their award conferred. 

January 2026 Invites Now Live

Please log in to your e:Vision account to view and complete your graduation invite task.

Deadline to respond: Sunday 30th November 2025

You must respond even if you are not planning to attend, as this helps us manage ceremony arrangements and ensure your award records are accurate.

July 2026 Ceremonies

The July 2026 ceremonies are intended for students who have their awards conferred from 4th December 2025 onwards up to and including the Semester Two award boards in June 2026.

Further updates and guidance for finalist students will be shared in due course.

The ceremonies will take place from Monday 27th to Friday 31st July 2026.

About University Graduation Ceremonies

  • Graduation ceremonies are normally held in January and July each year.

  • The week ranges for both periods are published on the graduation webpages at the start of each academic year.

  • Finalised dates and times for each ceremony are confirmed in December (for January ceremonies) and in early June (for July ceremonies).

  • Ceremonies may be scheduled in the morning, afternoon, or evening. Faculties may be scheduled individually or combined into joint ceremonies.

  • Graduates are allocated to ceremonies according to their course and faculty. Requests to transfer between ceremonies cannot normally be accommodated.

  • The University reserves the right to reallocate graduates to a different ceremony within the same period where required for operational or capacity reasons.

  • The University also reserves the right to amend designated weeks, days, or times in exceptional circumstances (for example, extreme weather, industrial action, venue issues, or public health restrictions).

How to Apply (Registration to Attend)

Graduation applications are managed through the Graduation page on  e:Vision  (found under “My Study”).

Students should keep an eye on the graduation page of e:Vision for up-to-date information about current and future ceremonies.

Access to e:Vision:
To ensure a smooth process, please check that you can access e:Vision.

  • If you have forgotten your password, use the ‘Forgotten Password’ option first.

  • If you still cannot gain access, please contact ASK@WLV for support. You will need to provide a copy of official ID (passport or driving licence) so the team can arrange a password reset for you.

Graduation Schedule Change – FAQs

Graduation ceremonies will now take place twice a year, in July and January. 

  • Winter Graduation 26th - 31st January 2026
  • Summer Graduation provisionally 27th–31st July 2026

Specific ceremony dates and times will be finalised in December 2025 for January graduation, May 2026 for Summer Graduation.

You will receive further details once they are confirmed. 

No, there are no changes to ticketing.

  • All eligible students will be allocated a seat free of charge.
  • Guest tickets are charged - you will be emailed when tickets are on sale. 

Guest tickets are released in the lead-up to the ceremonies. 

  • Guest tickets for Winter Graduation are expected to on sale in December 2025. 
  • Guest tickets for Summer Graduation will be released for sale in July 2026. 

Invitations are sent before all results are confirmed. To remain eligible to attend, you must achieve a pass and have your award conferred by the published deadline for that set of ceremonies.

If you need to re-sit an assessment that takes you past the award deadline, you will no longer be able to attend the upcoming ceremonies. Instead, your place will be deferred to the next set of ceremonies (Summer or Winter, depending on when you complete your studies). You will also receive an ineligibility email explaining this.

Students on non-standard courses that do not meet the semester two award board deadline will be invited to attend Winter Graduation instead.

No, this change does not impact when you receive your award, only when you attend your graduation ceremony. 

  • Students who pass in Semester 2 and receive their award by 30th June will attend Summer Graduation in July. 
  • Students who resit in July will receive their award in August and be invited to attend Winter Graduation in January. 

Finalist students on courses due to finish before or in time for the semester two award boards in June will soon be invited to register for Summer Graduation. Look out for an email from noreply@wlv.ac.uk and visit the graduation page of e: Vision to register.

Don't worry—graduation ceremonies are large events, with thousands of students from across all courses split between Summer and Winter ceremonies. Whichever period you attend, you are likely to be celebrating alongside fellow students from your course.  

Qualifying awards confirmed after 30th June 2025 and on or before 3rd December 2025 are expected to be invited to Winter Graduation in January 2026.  

Qualifying awards confirmed after 3rd December 2025 through to Semester Two June boards 2026 will be eligible for the next Summer Graduation ceremonies in 2026.  

If you have any additional questions about your graduation, please visit ASK at WLV for further support and guidance. 

You will be invited to complete the graduation registration task in e:Vision This task will be available on the Graduation page in e:Vision and you must complete it by the given deadline to confirm your attendance. 

If you fail to register your intention to attend in e:Vision by the deadline, you will not be included in the Graduation ceremonies.

You will be sent a reminder to register for Graduation soon. You will receive an email from noreply@wlv.ac.uk and a notification in e:Vision once the registration task is available.  You do not need to wait for the email before registering.  Just log on to eVision, and go to the Graduation Page.

The registration deadline will be confirmed in your invitation email. It is important to complete the graduation registration task in e:Vision by this deadline to ensure you are included in the ceremony. 

Invitations for the 2026 summer ceremonies have not yet been issued.

If you were expecting an invite to the January 2026 ceremonies and cannot see this in your e: Vision account, please contact ASK@WLV for assistance. 

Yes, you may opt to defer to the next available graduation period, but you may only do this once. 

When you complete the graduation registration task in e:Vision you will have the option to register to attend, defer (once) or tell us you are not attending.

If you achieve your intended award but choose to defer, you will be invited to the next set of ceremonies, after which no further invitations will be issued.
