The PG Certificate in Adult Critical Care Nursing aims to facilitate the Registered Adult Nurse in developing a critical and holistic approach to the care of the critically ill adult with a focus on and understanding of, the implications for the wider Critical Care Unit. The course has a strong emphasis on the evaluation and development of both professional practice and research, and encourages participants to reflect critically on workplace experiences and learning in order to enhance knowledge and practice. Throughout the course you will also develop your ability to synthesise information on differing aspects of care; to identify the implications for the wider Critical Care unit in terms of dissemination and leadership activities and propose actions / developments related to these.
*Applicants must have completed Step 1 of the National Competency Framework for Critical Care Nursing (CC3N, 2015) by the start of the course and have the support of their Unit Manager.
