You can’t fall if you don’t climb. But there’s no joy in living your whole life on the ground.

There are lots of memories that comes to my mind. One of the key highlights would be my interactions with my mentor Dr Stuart Farquhar, he helped me to shape up my thought process towards business management and he has a strong influence on me. I was an international student at UWBS and had taken a part-time job at a local bakery to help me fund my journey. I would also like to mention Dr Yong Wang, the professor of Family Business & Entrepreneurship. He had a strong motivational impact one me to think outside the box and shape my career goals. I am still in touch with many of my friends made at University. We have regular catch-ups whether on phone or dinner. I used to volunteer for the University as a mentor to new international students and help them acquaint with the city and life in the UK. I have met some wonderful people from different parts of the world whom i will cherish for life.
Management studies helped me to develop multidisciplinary and international perspectives as well as giving me the chance to learn about the concepts of the major management issues. It equipped me with a toolkit full of techniques for analysing business and management issues not only at a high level. However, one could analyse, synthesise and apply knowledge and understanding to solve problems critically, rationally and rigorously. After my graduation from UWBS, I started working for Royal Bank of Scotland as a Portfolio Manager. As entrepreneurship and Leadership are the focus of studies at UWBS, they helped and equipped me to start Complygate. I am the founder and CEO of Complygate.
VSE is my mantra. I am responsible for Vision, Strategy and Execution at Complygate. On high level my responsibilities as a CEO are to hire the best available talent, build a team, keep the team motivated and get the best outcome. On a granular level it includes setting and executing organisation strategy, setting vision values and culture, communicating effectively with all stakeholders, keeping on top of any regulatory changes, networking and making budget allocation decisions.
The journey of a start-up to create a value to support more than 1600 customers. Being a leader for compliance management, is highly satisfying. On a side note Complygate has been, winner of London Tech Week start-up elevate. The award was presented by Margot James, Minister of State for the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport and also Shortlisted as the Best 10 Start-ups to watch - The Silicon Review
Wolverhampton has a uniquely global, multicultural and inclusive population with endless opportunities. You get more value for money and access to world class facilities compared to studying else where in the UK.
