I have made a right and timely decision by joining University of Wolverhampton. Whatever I have achieved so far in my career is based on my academic qualification achieved from this University.

I liked the vibrant campus, excellent teaching and learning resources, and the student-friendly environment of the University. The faculty members were so friendly, helping me to settle down quickly in a social and cultural setting, that were very much different from my country. I made friends on the campus with people that I am still in touch with. My favourite memory with the University is spending time at the learning centre of the main campus. I was amazed to come across such huge resources and facilities for students.
My Master of Public Health at the University of Wolverhampton opened the door of the world of public and global health for me. This course gave me the chance to explore the social and political aspects of health that eventually helped me to serve my community from a broader point of view. Pursuing a Master's degree at the University of Wolverhampton proved to be a right decision for me.
Currently, I am working at FHI 360, Bangladesh as a research utilization advisor. My areas of work range from research and evidence utilisation to knowledge management, policy advocacy and networking. I lead the evidence utilisation activities at FHI 360 by facilitating evidence-based policy making. I work with partners on research communications or uptake by ensuring effective collaboration. I also oversee capacity building efforts for key decision-makers in applying multi-sector nutrition evidence to specific policies and programmes in Bangladesh. Prior joining FHI 360, I worked at James P. Grant School of Public Health, BRAC University for around 10 years. I was involved in research projects ranging from health systems, infectious diseases, to nutrition surveillance. I taught Epidemiology in the Master of Public Health programme at the same institution and designed, coordinated and taught number of short courses as well. I have publications in peer reviewed journals and presented research findings in numerous conferences around the globe.
My career highlight so far is to be able to work for my own community by collaborating with renowned public health pundits, to work for BRAC, the world's largest non-government organisation, and to be able to contribute to public health pedagogy.
My advice to the potential students is 'enjoy your time at the campus and make the best use of it. This is going to be the base of your professional career'.
