Environmental management, remote sensing, GIS, sustainable urban drainage systems, river basin management.

Dr Hooper gained his BSc at the University of Exeter and a PGCE (Secondary Education) from the University of Southampton. His PhD work at the University of Southampton investigated the potential role of remote sensing in examining the relationships between river ecology and hydrology. Dr Hooper has a wide teaching role at the University spanning a number of schools and a variety of subject areas centred around the physical and biological characteristics of the environment and their management. He received a learning and teaching rewarding excellence award from the University of Wolverhampton for innovation of the year in 2006/7 for his work on placement learning.

Environmental management, remote sensing, GIS, sustainable urban drainage systems, river basin management, captive animal behaviour, green infrastructure.
