Each year the University celebrates Fairtrade Fortnight with activities and stalls across our campuses.

This year's fortnight asks everyone to take a step towards fairtrade, and we've got loads going on to help you do that. What will your step be?

Enter our Fairtrade 21&proud essay competition and win a new Microsoft Surface tablet!

Fairtrade is about more than coffee and bananas and we want to know what Fairtrade means to you in no more than 2100 words! It doesn’t have to be that long and there are no prizes for length!

It can be:

  • A story
  • an essay
  • a personal account...
  • We want you to tell us what you think Fairtrade is all about; is Fairtrade Fair?
  • Do you have a personal experience you want to share?

All essay entries must be submitted by 30th March 2013 to opinions@wlv.ac.uk

All entries will be recognised and the winner will be contacted by 20th April 2013.
