University scores another year working in partnership with Wolves


The University of Wolverhampton and Wolves have extended their partnership for the ninth year as they continue to work together to help build opportunities for students.

The University has been a long-standing partner of Wolves and is proud to become kit sponsor for club’s esports team and training kit sponsor for the women’s first-team this year. The University will also continue to work with the club to offer placements to students, allowing them to gain vital experience at the start of their careers.

Since the launch of the partnership, Wolves have provided a number of unique experiences for hundreds of students including work placements leading to full-time roles, stadium tours, and play-on-the-pitch experiences at Molineux.

The University and Wolves also worked together to host the first live esports event to take place in the city which was held at the university’s Arena Theatre and continue to host training camps for the Wolves esports team at the University’s brand-new screen school. Following this, international students also had the exclusive opportunity to work with Wolves to extend esports reach in India.

In addition, Wolves’ football development department is currently working with the University’s thriving sports programmes providing dozens of students with coaching pathways from local grassroots opportunities to elite international work.

“Working with Podar World College in Mumbai - one of the University’s international partners – has been a particular highlight in growing our international footprint. Led by University lecturers, the college has incubated a number of initiatives for the club, including launching the first official Wolves supporter club in India.

“The University’s investment in the new screen school has also provided a perfect catalyst for the club’s esports and media teams to create world-class content and provide real-life work experience for students. 

“From football coaching students to journalism and research students, there is a range of experiences to support students to kick-start their careers and I look forward to supporting more passionate students in the year ahead.”
