Deposits

International students, those who have been assessed as requiring a Student Visa or who will be charged the overseas fee, will normally be required to pay a deposit. Find out how much deposit is required 

All international students pay a deposit. for terms and conditions and further information please contact internationaladmissions@wlv.ac.uk 

Students must pay their tuition fee deposit before they can request for a CAS.

Living costs

It is important to carefully consider the financial implications of studying in the United Kingdom. In additional to paying tuition fees, you will need to cover your living expenses, including accommodation, food, heating, travel, books and stationery.

The UK Border Agency requires you to have a minimum amount of savings in your bank account before it will issue you with a student visa to enable you to study in the UK. More information can be found on the UKCISA website.

Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS)

You need a CAS number for your visa application. Request your CAS via eVision if:

  • You have an unconditional offer.
  • You have paid your tuition deposit.
  • You have passed your PreCAS interview (if one is required). 
  • You are within three months of your course start date.
  • The CAS request deadline is set by Admissions—submit your request on time!
  • If you apply too late, you may have to defer your application to the next available intake.
  • Some countries offer a priority visa service (faster processing for an extra fee). Check UKVI processing times.

Your CAS statement includes:

  • Personal & course details.
  • Tuition fee details & payments made.
  • University of Wolverhampton Sponsor Licence Number. 

Additional Requirements

Tuberculosis test: Check if your country requires a TB test.
ATAS Certificate: Required for some Postgraduate Research students.
