Movember at Wolves SU: Supporting Men’s Health Together

This Movember, Wolverhampton Students’ Union is coming together to raise awareness and start conversations around men’s health. From mental wellbeing to physical fitness, we’re hosting a range of events designed to support, empower, and engage our community.

Movember is a global movement that takes place every November to raise awareness and funds for men’s health. The charity focuses on key issues that affect men worldwide, including mental health and suicide prevention, prostate cancer, and testicular cancer.

 Upcoming events and activities include:

Weekly Sports Sessions at Walsall Campus

In collaboration with WLV Sport, we will be hosting weekly sports sessions at Walsall Campus throughout Movember. These sessions are open to everyone who wants to get moving, socialise, and support the cause.
Staying active is one of the best ways to boost your mood and wellbeing, and these sessions aim to promote active wellbeing while encouraging men to open up about mental health in a relaxed and supportive space.

• Monday 24th November, 2-4pm

Games Day

Take a break, have some fun, and join us for a Games Day packed with friendly competition, good vibes, and plenty of opportunities to chat. From console games to classic board games, this event is all about connection and community.

Full Barbershop Experience & Wellbeing Talks

We’re teaming up with the WLV Wellbeing Team to host mental health talks alongside a full barbershop experience because sometimes the best conversations happen in the barber’s chair.
Learn more about how to look after yourself and those around you while getting a fresh trim in a comfortable, welcoming space.
