Loudspeaker workshops empower individuals and cultivate confidence, resilience, public speaking and enterprise skills.

Looking to build your confidence in public speaking, presenting, or simply speaking up in meetings or seminars?

Our Loudspeaker workshop is a fully-funded CPD opportunity designed to help you develop the skills, self-assurance, and presence to communicate with impact – whether you’re leading a lecture, presenting your ideas, or just finding your voice.

Originally created for our apprentices, we’re now opening this exciting opportunity up to everyone in our university community. So whether you're early in your career, returning to learning, or an experienced professional wanting to sharpen your skills, this session is for you.

  • Wednesday 21 May,  9.30am - 4pm
  • National Brownfield Institute, Springfield Campus
  • Book here for free

We want everyone to be passionate about using their voice for two key reasons:

Firstly, to speak about the things they are passionate about and to use their speaking ability to affect positive change in their local communities and their own lives. Secondly, to use their voice as a key tool to progress along their professional journeys, whether that be interviews, sales, meetings, networking, or setting up their own businesses or social enterprises.

What to expect:

  • A fun, inclusive and supportive environment
  • Practical tools to manage nerves and boost confidence
  • Tips and techniques from expert trainers
  • Opportunities to practise and get feedback
  • A chance to connect with others across the university

Whether public speaking fills you with dread or you're looking to refine your technique, Loud Speaker is here to help you find your voice.
