The Students' Union

The Students' Union is not just a place for on-campus sports and socialising, it is important to the function of the University. They are able to advise you when you need support and ensure that your feedback is heard and acknowledged. As a distance learner, and a UK resident, you are still eligable for an NUS Extra Card which can be ordered online.

The Student Voice is the mechanism by which feedback flows from students to Faculty staff and beyond. An integral part of this system is the Student Representatives who gather feedback from their peers and bring common opinions, issues for concern, and examples of good practice to the Course Committees. These committees monitor the quality of the courses and feed into central University boards and committees. If you're interested in becoming a Student Rep you can register your interest via their website and complete online training to prepare you for your role.

Alumni

There are many advantages to joining the WLV Alumni Association one you graduate. They can help you access Career Planning services, keep you up to date with events and their monthly ezine and a biannual magazine. They can even connect you with Volunteering Opportunities to enhance your CV.

The University also offers a Postgraduate Loyalty Discount for those students considering further study.
