Online Distance Learning

We have been offering a select group of courses by distance learning for many years, from full undergraduate degrees in Business, to short courses for CPD in the Built Environment. These courses are designed to be taken anywhere in the world with no requirement to attend on campus, except to take UK examinations (international examinations are offered through British Council venues).

You may be considering this type of study due to your employment and/or home life. We have many successful graduates who have used distance learning to create their own study timetables, balancing their existing commitments with a study schedule that suits them. To make this even easier, as a distance learner you are welcome on campus and are free to use our local facilities, whether it’s part of your regular study plan, or an immersive weekend visit. We follow the standard academic calendar which makes it easier for parents to manage school holidays. 

Along with making study more manageable alongside employment, studying by distance learning also improves your employability, demonstrating many skills that prospective employers are looking for in a competitive work market, such as excellent time management, independence and self-motivation.

Please note that we do not support learning by correspondence, as our courses are designed to be studied online. If you do not have reliable internet access or an up-to-date home computer, this study method will not be suitable for you.
