Wearing Out Waste, 12.07.2019

Join us in the University of Wolverhampton School of Art for a morning of talks and exhibitions on sustainable textile industry.

Over the past year there has been a growing public concern about the detrimental effect the textile industry is having on our planet. The industry has become a hot topic in recent months!

At this FREE workshop you will hear from industry speakers and academics from the University of Wolverhampton. Our speakers will look into sustainable fashion, waste fabric, waste water and the chemicals that are produced at nearly every stage of manufacture. We will investigate how industries in and around the Black Country can and are already helping to combat these issues.

We hope that you take away from this event a better understanding of the impact that this industry is having on our planet and the solutions that are being developed to respond to this.
