Natures Biodegradable Polymers: Made by People for People, 18.10.2017

At this lecture, Professor Iza Radecka and Professor Marek Kowalczuk looked at the significant contribution the University of Wolverhampton are playing in tackling the global plastics problem, through the development of bioplastics.

With traditional manufactured plastic waste accumulating at rates in excess of 25 million tonnes per year, innovative solutions need to be found.  Bioplastics are biodegradable, but also have practical applications in the medical, agriculture, packaging and manufacturing industries.

This event was held in conjunction with University of Wolverhampton Doctoral College, to find out more details on how bioplastics are made, their industrial applications and new processes to increase the rate of production.
