Michelle Moore is a qualified nurse, midwife, school nurse and practice educator, gaining her master’s in education with Wolverhampton University in 2006.

She is currently a senior lecturer in specialist practice community health within the Faculty of Education Health and Wellbeing, working with student health visitors, school nurses, district nurses and practice nurses.  Additionally, she is module lead for advancing practice through leadership and innovation module and the teaching in professional practice module.

She a specialist interest in leadership within nursing and is in the process of undertaking research in this area as part of doctoral studies. Michelle is an advocate for school nursing and is a member of the National Forum of School Health Educators and the regional school nursing forum SHINE.

Michelle previously worked within the NHS with a career that spanned over 25 years across a variety of healthcare settings, within both the acute and community Trusts, and more recently as a practice teacher and service manager with the children and families directorate.
