Black History Month /Rich Fann: Black Representation Beyond Black History Month

As part of Black History Month the University of Wolverhampton is pleased to present a talk with Associate Director of the Office of Cross Cultural and Leadership Development at the University of Pittsburgh Rich Fann.

As someone who was the first in his family to go to University, Rich Fann will talk about his professional journey to illustrate the importance of Black representation. Rich was appointed Associate Director of the Office of Cross Cultural and Leadership Development (CCLD) in 2017. CCLD provides students, faculty, and staff with resources and opportunities to become more globally aware, culturally competent, and socially responsible. CCLD serves as the home for several student organisations, including the Black Action Society, the Asian Student Alliance, Feminist Empowerment Movement, Rainbow Alliance, and Office of Greek Life. Rich began his career in higher education in 2004. He previously worked within the US State Department, and currently coaches youth American Football, writes and podcasts about pro-wrestling, and has just begun mentoring students at Historically Black Colleges and Universities in association with Modern Guild and Barclays.

This event was recorded on 25th October 2021.
