The Arena Theatre’s Outreach Team works with local schools and colleges all year round, delivering one-off workshops and shouting about our performances, or delivering specially designed projects. We use contacts within small-scale theatre touring and our development programme to introduce students to professional productions and wrap-around work, enhancing their passion for drama and the theatre.

We offer:

Practical workshops offered in tandem with professional drama and dance companies, giving pupils and teachers the chance to explore key themes of the production and enhance their professional practice.

Post-Show Discussions

Post-show discussions give pupils the opportunity to ask questions directly to the cast and creative team of our professional productions.

Creative Careers Talks

Our career talks can be held either in-school or at the Arena Theatre (with tour included), and are tailored to both Primary, Secondary and Post-16 ages. Given by members of the Arena team, they include aspects of programming, access, marketing, front of house, backstage, and technical.

Backstage Tours

Book a backstage tour, where members of the Arena Theatre team will show you what goes on behind the scenes and what is involved in getting a play from page to stage.

If you are interested in any of the above opportunities, please contact our Education and Outreach Manager, Sam Fleming, directly on or 01902 322646.
