Information for students from Bhutan

Undergraduate

The University considers students for undergraduate study who have completed Bhutan Higher Secondary Education Certificate / XII Indian School Certificate taken in Bhutan. We require students to achieve minimum of 4 or 60% overall, some courses may state specific subjects and grade requirements. Successful completion of Year 1 Bachelor Degree from a recognised university with an average grade C or of 60% or above may be considered.

Postgraduate

For entry to a postgraduate degree programme (Master's) at the University of Wolverhampton, students typically need to have completed a three or four-year undergraduate degree overall 55% (Honours Bachelor degree or Professional degree) at an accredited university or college. Exact requirements will depend on the postgraduate degree you are applying for and the institution you have studied at.

  • For programmes that require a UK Second Class Honours Second Division (2:2), a minimum score of 55% is required
  • For programmes that require a UK Second Class Honours First Division (2:1), a minimum score of 60% is required)

Foundation - English Language requirements:

Standard English Language Requirements - IELTS 5.5 with a minimum of 5.5 in all components or equivalent

Undergraduate - English Language requirements:

Standard English Language requirements - IELTS 6.0 or equivalent

Postgraduate - English Language requirements:

Standard English Language requirements - IELTS 6.5 or equivalent
