Meet the Team

I have been at the University of Wolverhampton since 2018I head up the Organisational Development team. My role is varied but includes Delivering on Staff Engagement , Well being, Training and Development (Mandatory and developmental), Internal Apprenticeship's and Staff benefits with the OD team. A Qualified Coach,  Psychometrics Practitioner and chartered MCIPD my passion is for helping people to be the best that they be and delivering interventions that benefit  both staff and institutional goals

I was excited to join the University in April 2022 as the Learning and Development (L&D) Specialist, coming ‘home’ having completed my Post Grad in Human Resource Development at the University in 2012.  As I have served over 20 years on the Shropshire Committee for the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, as well as Volunteering as their Student Engagement Officer, this role felt like a really good fit for me to be able to give back to the community that supported my own development.

My work here involves ensuring that members of staff have the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform their jobs effectively and develop professionally.  Working through a variety of mediums not limited to; Training Needs Analysis at individual, Departmental and University levels.  Designing, developing and delivering modular training and leaderships Programmes, covering technical skills, leadership development, soft skills, compliance, or other specialised areas, including collaborating with external vendors or instructors for specialised training programs.

Delivering interventions via in person workshops, 1-2-1 coaching, e-learning modules, Teams, webinars, or blended learning approaches.  I seek to foster career development through pathways, appropriate support, encouragement  and succession planning; using evaluation of learning interventions to ensure that developed content is effectively communicated to meet the personal needs of all staff and those of the University to grow and achieve its objectives.

I Joined the University in June 2015. i have held several roles within my 10 years of service, from project administration for ERDF funded projects , Project Co Ordinator for ERDF Projects, Project Costing System Officer to my current role as Digital & Online Learning Advisor. My role is varied, but includes the management of the University eLearning Portal, Creation of eLearning Training packages via Articulate 360, Reporting on training activity for the University, developing new digital and online ways staff can access and use training material, Managing the Human Resources Webpages, Developing the University's Self Service HR Portal and Developing the Universities recruitment System Hire Serve. I have a passion to help and support all staff from across the University in developing solutions and problem solving.

I joined the University in October 2023 and am responsible for driving initiatives to enhance staff wellbeing, promoting employee benefits, and cultivating a supportive workplace culture through various resources and events.

I started with University in September 2023 as the Organisational Development Co-ordinator.  I am responsible for overseeing all aspects of mandatory eLearning training including the setting up of accounts for new starters.  I manage and promote training and development opportunities and provide help and support for those that raise queries through the OD Service Desk.
