R26: Project Planning and Delivery

Content: Managing your own research project is a challenge, which can be made easier through effective planning. This workshop will provide insights into project management techniques and share good practice for project delivery, introducing an effective planning framework.  It will raise awareness of three areas: project planning and delivery; risk and issues; and financial management.

The planned learning outcomes include:

  • Understand how to plan a project effectively using standard tools and techniques;
  • Identifying and managing risk and issues;
  • Appreciation of internal systems and support mechanisms for project and financial management
