Entry requirements for students from Samoa

International Foundation Year

Pacific Senior Secondary Certificate

Students with a minimum score of 5 are eligible for entrance to the International Foundation Year. 

New Zealand University Entrance Certificate

Students with a minimum grade of C are eligible for entrance to the International Foundation Year. 

Undergraduate

Students who have completed a Bachelor degree from the National University of Samoa with a minimum grade of C1 can normally be considered for admission onto the final year of a Bachelor programme. 

Postgraduate

Students who have completed a Bachelor degree from the University of the South Pacific can normally be considered for admission onto a Master’s degree:

A score of B+ is considered comparable to a UK 2:1

A score of C+ is considered comparable to a UK 2:2

A score of less than C+  is considered comparable to a UK 3 and would require the completion of a pre-master’s course

English Language Requirements

English language requirements vary by course and department but are usually the equivalent of IELTS 6.0 with 5.5 in every component.
