Entry requirements for students from Mauritania

International Foundation Year

Baccalauréat/Diplôme de Bachelier de I'Enseignement du Second Degré

Students with a minimum grade of 12 are eligible for entrance to the International Foundation Year.

IELTS 5.5 with a minimum of 5.5 in all components is also required. 

Undergraduate

Brevet de Technicien Supérieur /Diplôme d'Études Universitaires Générales

Students with minimum grades of 12 can be considered for entrance to Bachelor programmes. 

Postgraduate

Maîtrise

Students who have completed a Maîtrise from a NARIC or government recognised institution can normally be considered for admission onto a Master’s degree.

A score of 14  is considered comparable to a UK 2:1

A score 12  is considered comparable to a UK 2:2

A score of less than 12 is considered comparable to a UK 3 and would require the completion of a pre-masters course

English Language Requirements

English language requirements vary by course and department but are usually the equivalent of IELTS 6.0 with 5.5 in every component. 

Country Specific Border Requirements

Tuberculosis (TB) certificate required.
