Arena Theatre provides a stepping stone for University of Wolverhampton graduate

The Arena Theatre, University of Wolverhampton, is proud to announce its collaboration with a recent graduate of Fine Art to help promote and shine a light on an array of the venue’s artist development and community programmes.

This work follows previous partnership working between the venue and School of Creative Industries students throughout 2022 and 2023, which saw a mural dedicated to the Arena Theatre’s work take up permanent residence in Wolverhampton’s Mander Centre – created by students following a brief from the venue’s team.

Zoe Moreton, a graduate of the University of Wolverhampton, has been working with the Arena Theatre to bring innovation and creativity into the marketing and branding of the theatre, creating promotional materials for both the venue’s LEAP Festival that took place in February, and promotional materials for the theatre’s Arena Collaborative Theatremakers (ACT); Poetry and Story Tellers Assemble (PASTA); and How’ve Yow Been Dragged Up? programmes, the latter of which are now proudly on display outside of the theatre.

Alongside showcasing the talent of University of Wolverhampton students, this new strand of work within the Arena Theatre reaffirms the venue’s commitment to developing the next generation of artists who are right on the theatre’s doorstep.

Artistic Director of the Arena Theatre, Neil Reading, said: “The Arena Theatre’s objectives have always been to develop the next generation of creatives and working with Zoe has been a delight. Seeing the work she has produced both on our Christmas production and the marketing portfolio has lifted the work of the theatre and given Zoe valuable experience for her future career.”
