The University holds a wide range of events and seminars designed to help businesses start, grow and learn new skills.  Ranging from fully funded introductory new business start-up courses,  comprehensive mentoring programmes, networking opportunities and specialised areas such as Building Information Modelling (BIM), we aim to support and help grow businesses of all sizes.

Thinking of starting or just started a new business? This FREE event will provide help and support to individuals who want to set up and run their own successful new business.

The event will cover a variety of topics including:

  • Is it right for you?
  • Business Planning
  • Legal status and legalities
  • Taxation
  • Next steps

Aimed at individuals thinking of, or just starting a potential business, the seminar offers a structured approach to identifying opportunities, planning for success and ensuring a better chance of survival.

There is no cost to attend but pre-registration is required.

Manufacturing Support Drop in Sessions

We are offering Small to Medium size Manufacturers (SME’s) the opportunity to participate in one-to-one reviews with a West Midlands Manufacturing Development Manager to discuss innovation support and funding available to help your business develop and grow through the University of Wolverhampton and its partners.

The drop-in sessions run from 10:30am to 3:30pm with sessions lasting approximately 45mins each.

Please note these sessions are popular you will need to pre-book your place prior to your visit.

Chartered Legal Executive Apprenticeship Briefing

If you’re a legal practice that is struggling to recruit the next generation of solicitors, or are finding it difficult to retain your existing staff, why not find out about the University of Wolverhampton’s CILEx Apprenticeship and how this sector-backed qualification route can help manage your skills gap.

The University is holding a FREE briefing event were you will:

  • Be introduced to the University’s CILEx Chartered Legal Executive apprenticeship and discover the different specialisms apprentices can study
  • Learn how you can use Government funding to cover up to 90% of eligible training costs
  • Meet the Apprenticeship team and have your questions answered
  • Get a better understanding of the changes being proposed by the Solicitors Regulation Authority and how these changes will affect the way in which individuals qualify as solicitors in the future.
