Logging in to Electronic Resources

Members of the University of Wolverhampton are able to use a large number of electronic databases, journals and books.

Using these electronic resources requires logging in with your university IT account passwords; you are then recognised as a valid user.

Whether you are on-campus or using a non-University PC remotely, click on the "log in" link at the top of most web pages in the Finding Resources box:

After authenticating, you will be returned to the same page and you should now see the following message:

Always make sure you have completed this step before attempting to access any electronic resources.

Accessing Resources from the Library Catalogue

If you try to access an electronic resource from Summon, our library catalogue, you may sometimes be presented with a login screen from the resource provider, or be told that you need to purchase the article.

In these cases, look for a link or button called Athens Login (or similar wording). The location and wording will vary between providers, but clicking this should be enough to get access to your article, providing you have followed the instructions above.
