The Arena Theatre encourages group visits, and we work with groups to ensure that everybody gets the most out of their day or night out with us.
Group discounts
We offer one free ticket for every ten tickets booked.
For school visits, we offer free teacher tickets, whilst student tickets will be offered at our concessionary rate.
Similarly, if you are visiting from a carehome, we will offer free staff tickets with service user tickets charged at our concessionary rate.
Car parking
The theatre has limited car parking spaces outside the front of the building. These spaces are council owned and are charged per hour by the car parking metre.
The nearby Broad Street car park is open 24-hours a day, and is just a three to four minute walk from the theatre. You can pay for parking at Broad Street with change, or with the RingGo app available for most phone devices.
If Broad Street is full, Faulkland Street is the next nearest car park to the theatre - again this is payable with either change or the RingGo app.
Facilities
The Arena Theatre is completely accessible throughout: the path from the front door to the auditorium contains no stairs, and we have an accessible lift to the front row of the auditorium and our studio space.
The theatre is kitted out with braille signage for all rooms, as well as dementia friendly signage. All of our staff are trained to guide the visually impaired.
Workshops
Much of the professional work we programme comes with the added bonus of workshops alongside pre and post-show Q&A's with theatre companies.
To find out more, e-mail our Education and Outreach Manager, Sam Fleming, on Sam.Fleming@wlv.ac.uk or contact her by phone via 01902 322 646.
Education Packs
A lot of what we programme can be linked into the National Curriculum, and companies will often provide us with education packs for teachers to use in the classroom. Where an education pack is available, this will be included on the show booking page.
If an education pack is not available and you would like to request one, e-mail our Education and Outreach Manager, Sam Fleming, on Sam.Fleming@wlv.ac.uk or contact her by phone via 01902 322 646.
Visual Guides
If a Visual Guide will help your group to feel comfortable when visiting the theatre, we have an Arena Theatre Visual Guide available on our Accessible Resources page.
Some of the accessible work we programme will often come with a visual guide also, which we will make readily available on the show booking page.
If a visual guide is not available and you would like to request one, or would like hard copies of the Arena Theatre visual guide, e-mail our Access and Inclusion Manager, Kirsty Povey-Dooner, on K.Povey2@wlv.ac.uk, or contact her by phone via 01902 322 532.
