Smoking

Smoking is NOT permitted on our premises. If you wish to smoke, there are smoking bins located on Wulfruna Street just outside of the main entrance of the building.

CCTV

For the safety of our audience and staff members, we do have CCTV cameras on our premises. If we are photographing or recording during a performance or event, we will make you aware by prominently displaying signage.

Photography and video recording

Unless stated otherwise, photography and recording is not allowed under any circumstances during the performance. If you continue to take photographs or record during a performance, the Front of House Manager reserves the right to ask you to leave the auditorium.

Live and pre-recorded streams

Under no circumstances should customers sharerehost, record or rebroadcast any live or pre-recorded streams the Arena Theatre puts out of its professional and privately hired performances. Customers who do this will be in breach of copyright and will be refused tickets to Arena Theatre events in the future. The Arena Theatre will pursue all copyright breaches to the full extent of the law.

Performance signage

Some of our performances contain smoke, haze, loud noises and strobe lighting.

We offer ear defenders for small children and anyone who may be averse to loud noises - just let a member of staff know if you would like a pair. If you are epileptic and a performance contains strobes, please let one of our Front of House team know as soon as possible.

All warning signs will be prominently displayed as you walk into the auditorium.

Food and Drink

Drink is available on our premises on a pre-order basis both before the performance and for the interval, you can pre-order your drinks by visiting our website (click). Our bar will be open for performances for September 2023.

Children

We are a Family Arts Standard venue, and thus young children are welcome. However, the Arena does not accept responsibility for your children: so we ask parents stay with them at all times whilst they are in the building. If your child is part of a performance, we ask the visiting company to ensure there are enough chaperones on duty.
