According to the 2017 Destination of Leavers from Higher Education report, 96.3% of our students are in work or further study six months after graduation, our best ever result, and putting us in the UK top 5 for graduate employability for universities of our size.

We’re giving our students a great start in their graduate careers, resulting in 69% starting on salaries between £15,000 and £29,999. We are the University of Opportunity.
3. Employability is embedded in our curriculum.
Employability is embedded in our curriculum. Our lecturers provide subject-specific guidance throughout your course to ensure you’re work-ready upon graduation. Not just that, our students’ hard work is being rewarded, with 16% of graduates reporting earnings between £30,000 and £59,999.
4. Our amazing careers support delivers the nation's professionals.
The opportunities and support offered by our Careers, Enterprise and The Workplace teams ensure our graduates stand out from the crowd in a competitive jobs market, with a massive 68.1% entering highly skilled professional or managerial roles.
5. We're investing in the business leaders of tomorrow.
Our recent investment in our business provision means that our graduates in professional/ managerial roles include the managers, directors, senior officials, professionals and technicians who are shaping today’s economy.
6. Our volunteering opportunities provide added value.
Through volunteering opportunities, our students gain vital experience, skills and confidence. Meanwhile, over 74,800 hours have been volunteered this year, contributing a significant amount to the local economy! We’re continuing to embed employability skills through the Enterprise and Employability Awards across all curriculum areas.
