Jenny Hinton

During her time at University Jenny was involved in grassroots football coaching at her local club – Starlands and St Annes and Walsall Football Club (Community). Whilst at University she was nominated for Student Volunteer of the Year and achieved the Excellence Award for her volunteering contribution of well over 500 hours.

"Volunteering in football has given me the opportunity to work with children and young adults and has opened up a whole range of opportunities to develop me as a coach.”

Jenny recently graduated after completing a 3 year Sports Coaching degree and found her volunteering experiences greatly enhanced her studies and career development.

“This has allowed me to network with other people and opportunities to progress my career and CV while studying”

Alongside her degree Jenny also completed a number of Workshops and Coaching Courses including the FA Football Level 2 and is now currently enrolled on her UEFA B Course.

“These experiences will help me towards employment. If I could give one piece of advice it's this. You came to Uni to get a degree so you can land your dream job. Problem is so did the rest of us. Do something to stand you apart!! ".

Although recently graduated Jenny will still be seen at the University as she embarks on her new career – She will be working with our University Womens football teams and passing on her wisdom and experiences to a future generation of students.

We wish Jenny all the best and success as she now embarks on her career post University.
