This award is intended for those who are working with children, young people and adults at risk, including those in voluntary or unpaid positions. This qualifications is also suitable for those who have a specific responsibility in safeguarding and protecting in environments such as NHS, education providers and social services.

Pre-requisites

All participants must be aged 16 or over.

Course details

During this half day course, learners will develop a greater understanding of how to safeguard and protect children, young people and adults. Topics covered include: safeguarding and protection responsibilities, different forms of abuse and how to respond to disclosure or suspected abuse.
