|Medical||Participation is part of the course please inform us of any injuries or medical requirements before the course start date.|
All participants must be aged 16 or over.
There are no compulsory pre-requisites for this workshop. It offers the chance to build on skills previously gained through courses such as Sports Leaders UK Level 1, 2 and 3 awards; national governing bodies of sport awards; and youth and community qualifications
Developed by Streetgames and Uk Dodgeball Association, the workshop will provide learners with game ideas and the basic rules of dodgeball in order to introduce the sport to young people in the community.
Participants combine their existing coaching and leadership skills and experience with the games and challenges in the workshop to learn how to engage young people in odgeball for the first time.
By the end of the workshop attendees will be able to: understand dodgeball and the fundamental skills needed to play; deliver basic dodgeball activities to groups of young people; understand and apply basic rules for informal dodgeball games; and organise dodgeball challenges and social competitions
Who is it for: Community sport project leaders, coaches and volunteers.
