“Women in Chemistry 2”, is a FREE exciting interactive theatre production from the STEM Response Team, that focuses on the achievements of three women who have changed the world of science and highlights how their discoveries continue to influence science and technology, in particular, sustainability and green energy today. The STEM Response Team will use experiments, humour and spectacular science demonstrations to introduce topics as varied as DNA, genetic modification, nuclear fission, nuclear power and the discovery of chemical elements to the audience in an accessible and inclusive way.

This show is suitable for students in Key Stage 3 and 4 or home-educated students between the ages of 11 and 16.

Please note, that this show contains flashing lights and loud sounds throughout the performance so may not be suitable for those who are sensitive to these.

Performances are FREE and are ongoing throughout September and October.
The performances taking place in Walsall, Telford and Redditch are specifically available to schools, educational facilities and home educators. The two performances at Stafford are welcoming all to attend.

If you are visiting by car, take Junction 5 off the M54, and left onto Rampart Way, then left at the next island onto A442.  Take the first exit off the A442 signposted Oakengates and take the third exit. Go straight over the first mini island and turn right at the second mini island.  Immediately turn right into Oakengates Theatre. Stafford Gatehouse Theatre is in the heart of Stafford, just seconds from the main shopping centre and central tourist attractions. It is less than 10 minutes drive from Junctions 13 and 14 of the M6 and can be found by following the theatre mask symbols on routes into the town centre.

Cycle racks are available outside the building, and there are ample parking facilities a short walk away (please note that car parking charges have recently changed – we suggest checking the Stafford Borough Council website).
