This course will allow you the opportunity to develop key competencies in Strength and Conditioning coaching, and challenge you to develop your theoretical knowledge, applied experiences and research skills towards becoming an evidence-based S&C practitioner. You will study the underlying principles of S&C science and the multifaceted role of the S&C practitioner. The applied and practical nature of the course will equip you with the skills required to work with athletes and clients of different ages, abilities and demographics in designing and implementing bespoke training programmes to enhance athletic performance and health and wellbeing. You will benefit from the insights of experienced S&C coaches and practitioners from related disciplines, and you will have opportunities to gain valuable applied experience and coaching qualifications alongside the course. There is an emphasis on technical coaching skills and the integration of S&C into the wider interdisciplinary performance setting. We have longstanding partnerships with a number of sporting organisations which add value to our educational programmes, including guest lectures from experienced applied practitioners and opportunities for students to gain applied experience.
