Postgraduate CPD Courses

We offer a range of undergraduate (PG) courses designed to meet the career aspirations and clinical or professional development needs of individuals who work in the healthcare sector. Many healthcare professionals now qualify with a degree and therefore choose to undertake further studies at postgraduate level.

For further guidance and help in choosing the right course for you please contact one of our CPD Navigators at CPDNavigator@wlv.ac.uk.

A selection of modules from our postgraduate courses can be taken as stand-alone modules to meet your specific professional development needs (see full list below)

Academic levels are based on our understanding of education and the progression of learning, and we measure this by the assessment of increasing depths of knowledge, skills and abilities at different levels.

  • 60 Level 7 credits (Postgraduate Certificate) - equivalent to year 1 of a 3 year Masters degree course
  • 60 level 7 credits (Postgraduate Diploma) are equivalent  year 2 of a 3 year Masters degree course
  • 60 Level 7 credits (MSc) are equivalent to the final year of a Masters course and normally comprises the dissertation year

A typical journey* would include progression of studies from Postgraduate Certificate to Postgraduate Diploma to MSc; thus a full Masters degree comprises of 180 credits in total. However we recognise the difficulties facing healthcare professionals and offer the ability to step off your course at any level should the need arise.
