Studying for a PhD at the Business School
The Management Research Centre at the University of Wolverhampton Business School provides a stimulating research environment in which PhD students play a vital part. With about 25 PhD students currently aligned to our four research clusters, you will join a small but highly interactive and vibrant research community.
Our PhD students come from over eight different countries, and from a variety of different professional backgrounds. Successfully completed PhDs from our programme have since developed careers in academia and other professional arenas such as management consultancy and senior management practice.
The PhD (or Doctor of Philosophy) involves the completion of independent and original research into a specific subject area. We welcome enquiries and applications from well qualified and highly motivated candidates that want to work alongside our leading researchers, see Principal Areas of Research where we currently take applications.
Our research students enjoy excellent facilities and the University is further investing in a brand-new, state-of-the-art Business School. Alongside experienced supervision, we provide training in research methods and methodologies, graduate skills and we offer opportunities to develop your teaching skills. Doing a PhD at Wolverhampton is a great opportunity but it also requires a significant commitment on your part.
