Alumni Celebrate 50-Year Reunion at University of Wolverhampton

A group of law alumni returned to the University of Wolverhampton’s City Campus in mid-July to celebrate an incredible milestone, 50 years since their graduation.

Having studied at the institution when it was still a polytechnic, the group travelled from far and wide, including Plymouth, Lancashire, Surrey, Folkestone and even Thailand, to reconnect and reminisce. The special reunion was organised by alumnus Michael Judkins and brought together former classmates who had only seen each other once collectively since 1975.

The warm, sunny day provided the perfect backdrop for the celebration. The group was welcomed back with a tour of the City Campus, where they explored the university’s latest facilities and saw how the institution has evolved over the years. They shared stories, laughter, and memories over lunch at the Millennium City Building’s refectory.

Michael Judkins said: “It’s been wonderful to be back and see how far the University has come. This place holds such a special place in our hearts. We’ve made lifelong friendships here.”

As part of the day’s itinerary, the alumni also visited the University of Wolverhampton at The Halls, the City’s impressive live events venue, and took a tour of the iconic Molineux Stadium, home to Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The reunion served as a heartfelt reminder of the strong bonds formed during student days and the lasting impact of the University of Wolverhampton experience - then and now.
