Taking creatives to another level with annual Degree Show
Master's degree students in the School of Creative Industries are all set to show off their work at Wolverhampton Art Gallery.
15 students studying for Digital and Visual Communications and Film and Television Production Master's degree courses, will be exhibiting their work alongside PhD students.
The Private View is taking place on Friday 20 September between 6.00 pm and 8.00 pm with the exhibition opening to the public on Saturday 21 September until Sunday 6 October.
Lindsey Chambers, Head of School of Creative Industries, said: "The diversity of practice demonstrates conceptual and material conversations that are the bedrock of postgraduate study here at the University of Wolverhampton. The work captures skills learned, formal and aesthetic strategies, personal narratives, choices and the lived experiences converging into the practice and production of work that you will see in the Show.
"This exhibition at Wolverhampton Art Gallery marks an exciting culmination of work created by our Master's degree students in 2024."
Clive Moore, Course Leader in MA Digital and Visual Communications, said: "This course provides a stimulating combination of theory and practice to support and provoke creative thinking. The course continues to attract students from a wide variety of specialist art and design backgrounds promoting an environment where artists, designers and makers are encouraged to research, experiment and push the boundaries of their practice.
"Our current cohort of full and part time students have created a diverse body of work that seeks to inform and stimulate debate within a range of themes. This year we have also included the work of some of our first year part time students to provide an insight into some of the work in progress.
"I would like to thank all our students for their hard work and dedication, and take this opportunity to wish them every success for the future."
