A research active academic at the University of Wolverhampton has been awarded the ‘International Education Award’ during the Global Education Summit & Conference at the University of Oxford.

Dr Abhishek Gupta, researcher at the University’s School of Allied Health and Midwifery in the Faculty of Education, Health and Wellbeing, received the award in recognition for his teaching and research excellence.

Abhishek said: “I feel highly honoured to have received such a prestigious award. I have always wanted to be an academic as I feel it’s one of the best professions being surrounded by inspiring people, who are keen to learn.

“Being a research active academic has given me the opportunity to share latest advancements in my field and I cannot express how I feel to be recognised for my achievements.”

Abhishek has been teaching at the University of Wolverhampton since 2005 and earlier this year, was awarded the Hind Rattan Award 2022 in recognition of his dedication to health and education.
