Leader awarded honorary for building better business environments

A business leader who has made efforts to build better business environments has been awarded an honorary degree by the University of Wolverhampton. 

Amanda Clack has been recognised for her contribution to business management and transformation, having worked for over 30 years across the built environment sector. 

Currently an executive director at CBRE, where she is Head of Strategic Advisory, Head of Public Sector and Chair of the Strategy Board, Amanda is also Managing Director for advisory and a member of the UK Executive Committee and Management Board. 

She is a strategy and business transformation specialist focusing on delivering business value through the built environment.  

The University of Wolverhampton presented an Honorary Doctor of Professional Practice to Amanda at a graduation ceremony on Friday 10 September 2021.  

Amanda said: β€œAt a time where the workplace has the opportunity to reinvent itself post-Covid-19, being recognised as a leader that has contributed to building better business environments, particularly in construction and real estate where much change is still needed, truly is a great honour.  I am very privileged to be associated with the University of Wolverhampton the new School of Architecture and the Built Environment at its Springfield Campus.” 

 

During her career Amanda has been a partner for over 20 years, with partnerships at both PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP and Ernst & Young LLP.  

She is also a past Global President of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), becoming the longest-serving in 123 years. 

The University of Wolverhampton graduation ceremonies are taking place at the Grand Theatre in Wolverhampton from Thursday 9 September – Friday 17 September 2021.   

The 17 ceremonies will see over 3,000 students who completed their studies in 2020 collect their awards.   

It is the first time the University has held a graduation ceremony since December 2019 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
