Light the Way Christmas message from Wolves manager Nuno

As part of the University's Light the Way campaign, we have received a message of support from Wolverhampton Wanderers Football Club’s manager, Nuno Espirito Santo. In the message, Nuno recognises the difficulties that students would have faced while studying in this difficult year and encourages them to stay strong and help build a brighter future.

Nuno was presented with an honorary doctorate from the University in 2019 for his contribution to sport in the region. It recognised his success over the previous two seasons, which saw Wolverhampton gain recognition and attention internationally, returning a sense of pride back to the city and club. He led the club back to the Premier League after an absence of seven years as well as taking the club to the FA Cup semi-finals.
