Wolverhampton Literature Festival

The Wolverhampton Literature Festival is now in its third year and will be running from Friday 1st February until Sunday 3rd February 2019.

The three day festival will offer around 100 different events across venues in the city and visitors will be able to listen to talks, watch performances and take part in practical workshops.

Dr Aidan Byrne, Course Leader in English, said: "The University is really pleased to be involved in this high profile celebration of literature, theatre, poetry and the arts in general.

"The festival this year is offering a variety of events to suit all kinds of tastes.  Whether you want to listen and learn from writers or hone your own literary skills, there's something for everyone.

"Profiling the School of Humanities and showcasing our excellent courses in English, English Literature and Creative Writing, our very own Professor Sebastian Groes will be offering insights into Ishiguro's Never Let Me Go followed by a screening of the adaptation and Dr Daisy Black from the English department is doing a performance of her Bayeux Tapestry story at Bantock House then on Sunday she’s doing her Unruly Woman take on the Canterbury Tales.

"Creative Writing PhD student, Kerry Hadley-Pryce is giving a talk and Tom Hicks from the Faculty of Arts Library, will be in the Art Gallery with his Black Country Type Exhibition."
