A careers conference at the University of Wolverhampton to encourage equality in the workplace has been hailed a success.

More than 400 people attended the Inclusive Careers Conference, held during the University’s Career Development Week.

The event on Tuesday, 12 February 2019 included opportunities to meet organisations and employers who promote fair access for all.

There was also advice on positive workplace practices and Q&A sessions focused on equality and diversity.

Dr Anthea Gregory, Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic) at the University, said: “We are the University of Opportunity and this event is a testament to our commitment in ensuring that all our staff and students irrespective of their personal circumstances have opportunities to maximise their career.”

Career Development Week runs from 11 – 15 February 2019, and is a dedicated programme of events and activities designed to help University of Wolverhampton students build new skills, take part in new subjects for their own enrichment and gain accreditations - all adding to their CVs, personal development and job prospects after they graduate.
