Register early for Clearing call

15/08/2016

Students looking to go through Clearing this year can register their interest now to ensure a call from the University of Wolverhampton on Results Day.

A-Level Results are due out on Thursday, 18 August 2016 but students can register for a call from the University on the big day to talk through their options.

It is the first time the University has offered this service, but more than 150 people have already registered for a call.

Students can register their interest at: www.wlv.ac.uk/clearing/register-interest/

Dr Chris Twine, Academic Registrar, said: “If you’re thinking of applying to us through Clearing, this is a great opportunity to register your interest in our courses early and ensure a call back on Results Day.

“Getting your A-Level results can be a stressful time, so we’re aiming to reduce that by taking one thing off the list of things to do on the day.

“It may be that someone is having second thoughts about their choice of course or even their choice of University and want to find out what the University of Wolverhampton has to offer, so our experts are here to help.

“It has never been a better time to come to Wolverhampton, with our latest National Student Survey results showing students are more satisfied than ever before and we are second in the UK for graduate employability.”

Amber Francis, BSc (Hons) Psychology student, said:"I was stuck in a subject I wasn't passionate about and was devastated that I had made the wrong choice. I then discovered I could go through Clearing to apply for my chosen course at the University of Wolverhampton. I am now studying Psychology and it is the best decision I made."

Anyone applying for a course through clearing can visit the University’s dedicated website to register their interest and arrange a phone call on results day, Thursday 18August.

For anyone who already has their results, applications can be started now, and this can either be done through the Clearing website or by calling the Clearing hotline on 01902 323505, or contact via social media channels Twitter@wlv_uni or Facebook/uniwolverhampton.

Visit the University’s next Open Day on Saturday 20 August for more information.
