University to host prestigious military history conference
The annual British Commission for Military History New Research conference highlights current research undertaken by postgraduates and early career historians.
More than 20 papers will be presented on topics such as the Western Front, Royal Air Force and Lessons of the Second World War.
Professor Stephen Badsey, who is organising the event, said: "It is an honour for Wolverhampton to host this conference, and a reflection of the strength and reputation that we have in the field of military history.”
The conference will take place at the University’s Millennium City Building on Saturday November 22 from 9.30am-6pm.
It will conclude with an address by John Buckley, Professor Military History at the University of Wolverhampton and winner of the Templer Medal for 2013 for his book Monty’s Men: The British Army and the Liberation of Europe.
